Eat Your Oatmeal
The world 'round about you is turning topsy-turvy, Your life is lived according to the law of Mr. Murphy, There's no one in your corner, you are beset by adversaries. Well, no one said life was going to be a bowl of cherries.
So eat your oatmeal. Pull yourself together, now, it's no big deal.
Everybody's got their problems, and their own ball and chain, So there's no one here who wants to hear you fuss and complain. Everyday can't be full of inspirational food for the soul. Sometimes you have to take what you can get for five cents a bowl.
So eat your oatmeal. Pull yourself together, now, it's no big deal.
You can stare at the TV till your brown eyes turn blue, You can sit and watch the rain, and say there's nothing fun to do. There's a whole lot more to life out there, if only you would try it. Maybe what you need is more fiber in your diet.
So eat your oatmeal. Pull yourself together, now, it's no big deal.
